- Hermetically sealed gas-filled cylinder acts like a high-speed, low-impedance switch which activates when needed
- Surge current handling of 10 pulses, 10,000A, 8/20 microseconds
- All models are 50 Ohms except for 20F-75 and 8R
- Insertion loss less than 0.15dB at 500MHz
- 20 Series clamps at 75 Volts (best for QRP and SWL)
- 200 Series clamps at 350 Volts
(for 200W maximum and up to 3:1 VSWR) - 2000 Series clamps at 1000 Volts
(for 2000W maximum and up to 2:1 VSWR) - The lower the voltage, the better the protection
- Note: Running power in excess of the rating will clip the RF signal and cause distorted signals
- All coaxial connectors are type female (UHF-female is also known as SO239)
- Designed for DC to >500MHz (usable to 1000MHz) except for model 200HFU which is only to 200MHz
- 8R Model uses 50VAC Metal Oxide Varistors on all 8 lines with peak current of 4500A
